Publication Process
Publication Process
The Journal of Multidisciplinary Education, published by CV. Cerdas Nusantara Publisher, follows a structured editorial and publication process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of all published manuscripts. Each submission is processed according to the journal's editorial policies and publication ethics standards.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Submissions must comply with the journal's author guidelines, formatting requirements, scope, and publication ethics policies.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All required declarations, including authorship information, funding disclosures, and conflict of interest statements, must be provided where applicable.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript fits the journal's aims and scope and meets the basic requirements for scholarly quality, completeness, originality, and ethical compliance.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's requirements may be rejected at this stage or returned to the authors for preliminary revisions before further consideration.
3. Plagiarism and Research Integrity Screening
Manuscripts may be screened using appropriate similarity-detection tools to identify potential overlap with previously published material. Similarity reports are evaluated contextually by the editorial team; a similarity score alone does not determine whether plagiarism has occurred.
The editorial team may also assess relevant research ethics declarations, authorship information, data integrity concerns, and other potential publication ethics issues.
4. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for peer review by qualified reviewers with relevant subject expertise. The journal uses a [double-anonymous / single-anonymous] peer-review model, as specified in its official peer-review policy.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance, scholarly contribution, and the validity of the conclusions.
Reviewers provide recommendations to the editor, which may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. The final editorial decision rests with the responsible editor.
5. Revision and Author Response
When revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript within the specified period, together with a response explaining how each reviewer and editor comment has been addressed.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed by the editor, depending on the nature of the revisions. Additional revision rounds may be requested when necessary.
6. Final Editorial Decision
After considering the reviewers' reports, the authors' responses, and the manuscript's overall scholarly quality, the editor makes the final decision.
Possible outcomes include acceptance, a further revision request, or rejection. Acceptance is based on scholarly merit and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards, not solely on the completion of the review process.
7. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and preparation for publication. This stage may include checking language, formatting, references, tables, figures, metadata, and consistency with the journal's publication style.
Authors may be asked to review page proofs and correct typographical or production errors before publication. Substantive changes at this stage require editorial approval.
8. Publication and Online Dissemination
Once the production process is complete, the article is published online as part of the relevant issue or according to the journal's publication model.
Published articles include appropriate bibliographic information, author affiliations, abstracts, keywords, and DOI information where assigned. The journal makes articles accessible in accordance with its open-access, copyright, and licensing policies.
9. Post-Publication Updates
After publication, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when warranted by new evidence or identified errors, in accordance with its publication ethics policies.
Readers and researchers may report concerns about published articles or submit scholarly comments through the journal's official communication channels. All concerns are assessed fairly and handled in accordance with the journal's relevant policies.
10. Editorial Independence and Ethical Standards
Throughout the publication process, the Journal of Multidisciplinary Education is committed to editorial independence, confidentiality, impartial peer review, transparency, and responsible research conduct.
All editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, relevance, originality, methodological soundness, and compliance with publication ethics. The journal aims to provide a fair and consistent process for authors, reviewers, and readers.
