Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Education, published by CV. Cerdas Nusantara Publisher, is committed to preserving scholarly content and ensuring its long-term accessibility. The journal recognizes the importance of digital preservation in maintaining the continuity, reliability, and availability of academic publications for current and future generations of researchers.

1. Digital Preservation

The journal aims to preserve its published articles, metadata, and associated scholarly content to support long-term access and protect the scholarly record against data loss, technical failure, or changes in publishing infrastructure.

Digital preservation practices may include maintaining secure backups, preserving publication files and metadata, and using suitable digital archiving services where available.

2. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS

Where technically available and formally configured, the journal may use the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) or CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to support distributed digital preservation.

These systems are designed to create and maintain archival copies of scholarly content, helping ensure continued access if the journal's website becomes unavailable.

The journal will identify the specific preservation services it uses once participation has been established and verified.

3. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

The journal may use the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), where eligible and properly configured through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, to support the preservation of published content.

The PKP PN is designed to provide distributed preservation for eligible journals using OJS. Participation and preservation status depend on the journal's technical configuration and the availability of the service.

4. Institutional and Other Repositories

Authors may deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or other appropriate scholarly archives in accordance with the article's applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Deposited versions should include complete bibliographic information and a link to the version of record published in the Journal of Multidisciplinary Education.

5. Long-Term Access and Website Continuity

CV. Cerdas Nusantara Publisher supports the journal's efforts to maintain the availability and integrity of its published content. The journal aims to maintain secure backups of publication files, metadata, and relevant editorial records, subject to applicable privacy and data protection requirements.

If the journal's website becomes temporarily or permanently unavailable, the publisher will make reasonable efforts to restore access to archived content or provide access through an appropriate preservation service, where available.

6. Open Access and Archived Content

The journal's archiving practices are intended to support continued access to published scholarly content in accordance with the journal's open-access policy, copyright arrangements, and applicable license terms.

Preservation of an article does not alter its copyright ownership or licensing conditions.

7. Policy Review

The journal will review this policy periodically and update it when necessary to reflect changes in digital preservation standards, technical infrastructure, and available archiving services.

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Education is committed to responsible digital preservation and the long-term integrity of the scholarly record.
