Post Publication Discussion

Post-Publication Discussion

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Education, published by CV. Cerdas Nusantara Publisher, encourages constructive scholarly discussion and the critical evaluation of research findings after publication. The journal recognizes that post-publication discussion contributes to academic transparency, the advancement of knowledge, and the continuous improvement of scholarly research.

1. Submission of Post-Publication Comments

Readers, researchers, and other qualified individuals may submit comments, scholarly responses, or letters to the editor concerning articles published in the journal. Submissions should present evidence-based arguments, identify specific issues, and contribute meaningfully to academic discussion.

Comments may address the methodology, interpretation of results, theoretical framework, research limitations, reproducibility, or implications of a published article.

2. Editorial Assessment

All post-publication submissions are subject to an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance, scholarly merit, clarity, and compliance with the journal's publication ethics policies. Where appropriate, the editor may request peer review or consultation with subject-matter experts before making a decision.

The journal does not accept comments that are defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, irrelevant, or unsupported by reasonable scholarly evidence.

3. Right of Response

When a post-publication comment raises substantive concerns about a published article, the original author or authors may be invited to provide a response. The journal aims to ensure that scholarly disagreements are addressed fairly and that relevant perspectives are presented transparently.

The publication of a comment or response does not necessarily imply endorsement by the journal of the views expressed.

4. Corrections, Expressions of Concern, and Retractions

If post-publication discussion identifies potential errors, ethical concerns, or significant inaccuracies in a published article, the editorial team will assess the available evidence and take appropriate action.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue, possible actions include:

  • Correction: Issuing a correction when an error can be rectified without invalidating the overall findings or conclusions of the article.

  • Expression of Concern: Publishing an expression of concern when credible issues require further investigation or cannot be resolved promptly.

  • Retraction: Retracting an article when there is clear evidence of serious problems, such as unreliable findings, plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, or other substantial breaches of publication ethics.

All actions will be taken in accordance with the journal's publication ethics and correction and retraction policies, with the aim of maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.

5. Editorial Independence and Fairness

Post-publication discussions and related editorial decisions will be handled impartially and independently. Authors, reviewers, and readers involved in the process are expected to disclose relevant conflicts of interest.

The journal will provide authors with a reasonable opportunity to respond to substantive allegations or criticism before a final editorial decision is made, where appropriate.

6. Transparency and Accessibility

Where accepted for publication, post-publication comments, author responses, corrections, expressions of concern, and retraction notices will be linked to the relevant article whenever technically feasible. The journal aims to maintain a transparent and accessible scholarly record for readers and the research community.

7. Contact and Submission

Individuals wishing to submit a post-publication comment or raise a concern about an article published in the Journal of Multidisciplinary Education should contact the editorial office through the journal's official communication channels. Submissions should identify the relevant article and provide sufficient information or supporting evidence for editorial assessment.

The journal is committed to handling all legitimate concerns respectfully, confidentially where appropriate, and in accordance with recognized principles of publication ethics.
