Abstract

Multicultural education can equip students with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to become good citizens. Given Indonesia's diversity, multicultural education plays an important role that is highly relevant to the real lives of students. Multicultural education can be implemented in elementary schools as a way to overcome or prevent social conflicts. By instilling values of tolerance, empathy, nationalism, and mutual respect in children from an early age, an inclusive learning environment will be created and social conflicts will be prevented in the future.
